On Wednesday 8th November there was an Urgent Question on the humanitarian situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
During the proceedings I told the Minister that whilst getting aid into Gaza is important it must be properly administered. The Government must support organisations like UNICEF so the innocent children of Gaza are protected. Going forward I will continue to closely monitor the situation and urge the Government to help end the suffering who those involved.

Minister of State of the United Kingdom for Development and Africa: UNICEF is one of the most highly respected United Nations organisations and agencies. Britain has consistently been one of the most generous and strong supporters of UNICEF, precisely because of Toggle showing location ofColumn 161the effectiveness of that organisation. The hon. Lady may rest assured that we will work closely with UNICEF throughout this period, and that we profoundly respect the abilities and reach that UNICEF brings to its work.
