I was honoured to speak in the House of Commons International Women’s Day debate. In a week when violence against women is so much of a visible threat, I wanted to raise up the women experiencing this on a daily basis around the world.
I spoke about the Uyghur women in China, facing genocide. The women and girls around the world being persecuted for their faith. And called for the Government to restore the 0.7% commitment to overseas aid, which would bring help to so many.
