On Sunday 24 June I joined veterans, cadets, Lewisham Deptford MP Vicky Foxcroft and Mayor of Lewisham Damien Egan for the Annual Armed Forces Day Service.

It is so important to honour veterans from our community, and that we recognise and support the contributions of those currently serving.

The Labour Party continues to work at a national level to gain a better deal for the men and women in our armed  forces, both in service and as veterans.

Thank you to everyone in our community who has worked to keep us safe and preserve our freedom.
