Lewisham East experiences a high volume of noise from being below two active flight paths.
I know too well the detrimental impact this is having on the health of residents. Disturbed sleep and constant low-level noise is causing people awful mental health difficulties.
I raised this in last week’s debate on the Aviation Industry, and will continue to be vocal on the need to regulate flight paths and the noise they cause.
Watch my speech in full here, or read it here.
The @WHO has warned how dangerous aircraft noise can be to people's health. My constituents living beneath two major flight paths know this too well.
For the good of public health and the planet, the aviation industry must be built back responsibly. #AviationDebate pic.twitter.com/bGG0XTj4dw
