This week, MPs debated changes to the internal complaints scheme that has been developed in Parliament. The Independent Complaints and Grievance Scheme (ICGS) was created to challenge a pervasive culture of bullying and harassment in Parliament three years ago.

It has made amazing progress in this time – but of course there are still improvements to be made. I wanted to use my time to raise the importance of addressing racism, to make sure people of diverse backgrounds feel welcome in their workplace.
