Last week, I was proud to be a part of the successful efforts to condemn the persecution of the Uyghurs in Western China as genocide. The motion was unanimously passed by the Commons, in the first such declaration.
After many set-backs during the Trade Bill debates, this was a major breakthrough. But there is so much more Britain has to do to support the movement.

As if Govt's refusal to accept the Genocide Amendment to the #TradeBill wasn't enough – @FCDOGovUK now plan to reduce foreign aid to China by 95%.
