Yesterday MPs were able to mark World Social Work Day with a Westminster Hall Debate. I spoke up for how children are the ones who ultimately suffer from relentless cuts… as staff jobs disappear and caseloads rise.
I was a children and families social worker for many years, and it’s painful to see that the crisis has only got worse since I started 26 years ago.

I have so much respect for social workers. I know how demanding their jobs are having been one myself.
